Donate

Your kind gifts are what keep The Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center providing assistance to children who have suffered abuse or other traumas. Without our generous donors and volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to give hope to kids who need us most.

You can help us make a difference in someone’s future – Donate Today!

Your Donation Is Appreciated – Donate Today:

Every child deserves to have good mental health and to be healthy and safe and secure. Our mission is  to provide a child friendly and safe environment where children who have been abused or encountered other adverse childhood experiences can be interviewed, educated and healed.

Not only are we able to help these children, but we do it without them having to pay anything for services. People don’t have to pay any co-pays. There aren’t these financial barriers for children to get the mental health services that they need. And that’s really important to have something like this in our community–it shouldn’t just be for the wealthy.

We spend all year raising the money we need to make sure that we don’t have to turn any child away who needs our services. That’s why it’s so important that the community as a whole does reach out and support us, whether it’s a monetary donation, whether it’s being a volunteer here, or just being an ambassador and helping to spread the word about our Child Advocacy Center and the benefits of having one in our community.

Our goal for this fundraiser is to raise $75,000, so we can afford to bring on a full time therapist at the Child Advocacy Center. We have a few part time therapists, but we really need a full time therapist to be able to meet the needs of children in our community.

So I hope you will join with me in supporting kids and families.

Volunteer

Your time is a graciously accepted gift, as well! When you volunteer at MCCAC, you are helping sustain safety for at-risk youth in our community. If you are interested in volunteering with our Center, please contact Taylor Shultz (tshultz@moncocac.org) to hear about current opportunities. Please note: Due to the confidential nature of our services, volunteer opportunities that offer direct interaction with clients are limited. Volunteers who interact with families at the Center must pass a child abuse registry and criminal background check.

If you are a student at a local college or university and would like an internship at our agency, please contact Dr. Capage at lcapage@comcast.net

Participate in Events

MCCAC events are not only fun to participate in, but they are also an important part of our organization. Help us make each MCCAC event successful. In addition to attending, participating in events can include volunteering at the event, participating in the planning process, or sharing the date and details with others in the community and encouraging them to come. Are you interested in participating at our next event? Contact Taylor Shultz (tshultz@moncocac.org) to get started.
